I don’t make a list of New Year’s Resolutions. I used to, but if I didn’t accomplish the things I’d set out to, well, that was a bum out. Instead, as I get ready for the new year, I make a list of what I did accomplish and feel good about.
One of the things on my 2012 list is that I wrote almost 200 delicious recipes for Cooking On The Weekends! And I’m proud of all of them.
This is a collection of the 12 recipes — one per month — that were the most popular, receiving the most praise and views in 2012.
I really want to thank all of you who hang out on Cooking On The Weekends for spending part of your year sharing my love of cooking with me. I truly appreciate your readership, comments, emails, and I love when you try my recipes, and let me know about your culinary successes in the kitchen.
I look forward to writing many more tasty, fun and unique recipes for you in 2013! And I wish you all a year full of love, laughter, and happiness.

I would like a 12-course dinner party with every single one of those things! Brava!
Dorothy, and then I’ll turn up at your house for another 12 courses.
Happy New Year to you and your family. xo V
Wonderfully done! Two hundred recipes in 2012? You were a busy bee! Happy new year!
Thanks Laura — and I know you’re a busy bee, too! Happy New Year to you and yours! xo
I liked Dorothy’s comment. I second that!
200 is a lot! i don’t think i have that in total…ever. lol.
Amee, thank you and I wish you and your sister, and families a very happy new year! xo
Valentina, I think I made most of those.
Not sure how those Biscoff truffles got past me though.
Guess what I’m making tonight?
Happy 2013! xoxo
Colette — thank you for being one of my loyal readers! Hope you tried the Biscoff truffles — I can’t keep jars of Biscoff in the house anymore. Way too dangerous for my sweet tooth.
Happy New Year to you. Here’s to more delicious cooking in 2013! xo V
Wow, looks terrific! And resembles our family cookbook I helped collect, assemble, & bind — almost half of the recipes are for desserts!! The brownies look absolutely sinfully rich — can’t wait to try!
Thanks so much, Joan! Happy New Year!
So glad you included my very favorite–July’s Spicy Sriracha Spaghetti & Meatballs!!!
But, who could resist the Nutella Brownies? Delicious! Started my Nutella adiction.
And for cute, the pumpkin almond cookies!
Thanks for a great food year, Valentina.
Linda, thank you so much! I always knew you had good taste — must be why July’s winner was the Sriracha. . . . xoxo
