- 1 cup Brown Butter How To Brown Butter!
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup golden brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
- 1 large egg
- 1-1/3 cup oat flour see notes
- 1/2 cup almond meal
- 2 cups finely chopped semisweet chocolate
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F and line an 8 X 8 X 2-inch baking pan with parchment paper or butter.
In a medium-sized mixing bowl, combine the brown butter with the sugars, salt and vanilla. Then gently blend in the egg and mix until it's well incorporated.
Fold in the oat flour and almond meal and mix just to combine.
Pour the batter into the prepared pan, and smooth the top with a flat-bottomed spatula, pressing it down firmly.
Bake in the preheated oven until the edges begin to turn golden brown, about 25 minutes.
Remove from the oven and add the chocolate evenly to the top surface. Return the pan to the oven and bake for another 4 minutes or so, just to melt the chocolate. Then use the spatula to gently spread the melted chocolate over the surface.
Let it rest for at least a couple of hours before cutting, to let the chocolate set.
